Evacuable Pellet Dies

REFLEX Analytical offers the largest selection of evacuable pellet dies. Standard sizes range from 3 - 60mm diameter and are used routinely for IR, XRF and XRD powdered sample preparation. Larger diameter, customized geometries and dimensions are encouraged and available upon request for evacuable and non-evacuable type dies.

The dies are commonly used with our series of laboratory presses. Each die is precision manufactured from hardened 440C stainless steel and includes a main body with a vacuum attachment, base, (2) polished anvils, plunger, (2) vacuum o-rings, extractor ring and operating instructions. Optional Tungsten Carbide anvils are available upon request. Tungsten carbide anvils are ideal for hard or abrasive powdered sample materials which may tend to mar the surface of stainless steel anvils. An oil-less vacuum pump is recommended to assist with the production of moisture free pellets.
