Stainless Steel Fixed and Variable Pathlength Gas Cells Optional 200°C Heating
Stainless Steel Fixed and Variable Pathlength Gas Cells with Optional 200°C Heating
REFLEX Analytical introduces a new series of Stainless Steel Bodied Long Path Gas Cells optimized for measurements of vapor species to ppb levels. Typical applications include air pollution studies, gas purity determinations, monitoring of industrial processes and exhaust gas analysis. Choose from fixed and variable pathlengths with optional heating up to 200 °C. Nickel plated Aluminum and thick wall borosilicate glass cell bodies are also available for less demanding analysis. Scroll below for pricing and order details.
Each cell’s mirrors are diamond turned and coated with Gold for maximum reflectivity, inertness and energy throughput. The mirrors are mounted permanently with mechanical mirror mounts to eliminate out-gassing chemicals that may occur when using epoxies to secure the mirrors. The gas cells can be operated under vacuum or pressure. Stainless Steel Swagelok valves with barb fittings are a standard feature although tube compression fittings are available upon request. The cells are assembled with Viton o-ring seals. Kalrez o-ring seals are optional for demanding applications requiring the highest chemical resistance and compatibility. The standard KBr transmission windows are easily replaceable with a variety of window materials to choose from.
The Stainless Steel and Nickel plated Aluminum bodies are suitable for high vacuum 10 –4 Torr and high pressure operation up to 125 psi depending on the transmission window material. Recall to specify your spectrometer make and model for the proper anodized Aluminum baseplate. Select from the following cell volumes and pathlengths.
Gas Cell Volume: 0.10 liter Fixed Pathlength 2.4m
Gas Cell Volume: 0.50 liter Fixed Pathlength 5m
Gas Cell Volume: 2.20 liters Fixed Pathlength 10m
Gas Cell Volume: 7.20 liters Fixed Pathlength 20m
Gas Cell Volume: 12.80 liters Fixed Pathlength 30m
Gas Cell Volume: 3.50 liters Variable Pathlength 1 - 16m
Purge bellows and a pressure gauge (except for the 2.4m gas cell) are also included as standard features. Purge bellows fit between the optics box of the cell and the spectrometer to allow the purging of transfer optics with inert gases such as Nitrogen. This feature allows absorbance due to atmospheric H2O and CO2 to be eliminated from spectral measurements. The pressure gauge provides an integral pressure relief valve which ensures that cells are automatically depressurized in the event of accidental over pressurization. The variable pathlength gas cell has an integrated micrometer and laser that enables accurate visual determination of the pathlength by counting the number of laser reflections on the bottom mirror.
