Pearl Transmission Cell Analyzer

Pearl Transmission Cell Analyzer
Pearl Transmission Cell Analyzer

The Pearl Analyzer makes liquid, semi-liquid, mull and smear transmission sampling faster and more simple than ever before. It is deemed to be the most reliable solution to replace and eliminate seal failures associated with demountable and sealed liquid transmission cells of every kind. This new transmission accessory greatly reduces the time and challenges of sample analysis compared other types of liquid transmission cells. There are no spacers, gaskets or stoppers therefore removing the frustrating aspects of cell assembly, the risk of fracturing expensive transmission windows and cell leakage. More important, the Pearl Analyzer removes personnel and environmental safety concerns associated with the handling and disposal of hazardous Mercury-Lead amalgamated materials used with traditional sealed liquid transmission cells.

The Pearl Analyzer incorporates an Oyster Cell held in a horizontal plane which as the name Oyster implies invites a simple introduction of sample onto the pre-aligned bottom shell surface then interfaced with the pre-aligned top shell surface. Remove the top shell, clean the surfaces using using a soft tissue with an appropriate solvent and your ready for your next sample. The Oyster Cells are highly suitable for analyzing viscous and volatile materials. For volatile samples, there is an injection access port in the top Oyster shell so the cell assembly does not have to be fully opened. At all times, the samples can be viewed through the two windows, allowing the user to ensure that no bubbles have been trapped.

Additionally, the Oyster Cell has been designed to provide a more accurate pathlength when compared to traditional liquid transmission cells; notably pathlengths are repeatable to less than 1μm for quantitative analysis. The Oyster Cells are available with either parallel or wedged windows to eliminate in some cases troublesome fringing patterns.

The Pearl Analyzer permits the easy interchange of Oyster Cells which can be fitted with ZnSe or CaF2 windows and available in six pathlengths including 25μm, 50μm, 100μm, 200μm, 500μm and 1,000μm. To interchange pathlengths, simply replace the bottom Oyster shell.
