500°C Fixed 10cm Pathlength Stainless Steel Solids Cell
This high temperature solids cell permits transmission mode measurement of solid samples up to 500°C. The sample holder accommodates 25mm diameter up to 10mm thick solid samples and can operate with 25mm diameter transmission windows if desired making it suitable for analyzing mulls, pastes, films and other semi-solid materials. An optional insert for 13mm diameter pellets and 13mm transmission windows can be ordered separately.
The cell consists of a heated stainless steel cavity surrounded by an aluminum cooling jacket. A water cooled jacket maintains the outer surface at a safe temperature to prevent heating of the sample compartment. Two fixed K-type thermocouples are installed to independently monitor the temperature of the sample holder and the cell assembly. A low voltage heater is used in conjunction with a high stability automatic temperature controller with USB computer interface for accurate monitor and control. The assembly also incorporates two VCO fittings, chemical resistant o-rings and PTFE seals. The cell can be configured for breadboard and FTIR instrumentation.
