32mm Circular Windows Demountable Liquid Cell
The Demountable Liquid Cell is ideal for qualitative and quantitative analysis of liquid samples where it is desirable to optimize the pathlength for various sample concentrations.
This liquid transmission cell is well suited for samples where it is useful to disassemble the cell for cleaning. A wide selection of window types and spacer pathlengths are available
to cover mid-IR, NIR and far-IR spectral regions and sample composition from organic to aqueous.
The cell is designed with a standard 2 x 3” plate for use with all FTIR spectrometers. The needle plate includes Luer-Lok™ fittings for easy syringe filling of the sample. The window size is 32 x 3mm and the clear aperture of the cell is 13mm. The transmission materials available include but are not limited to NaCl Sodium Chloride, KBr Potassium Bromide, CaF2 Calcium Fluoride, BaF2 Barium Fluoride, Ge Germanium, KRS-5 Thallium Bromide Iodide, Polyethylene,
Si Silicon and ZnSe Zinc Selenide.
The Demountable Liquid Cell Kit includes the following components: a standard 2” x 3” slide mount, two PTFE gaskets, PTFE o-ring, Aluminum needle plate with Luer-Lok™ fittings, stoppers, alignment posts, one complete set of assorted pathlength spacers(14) and the end cap. Two PTFE alignment posts are also supplied. The transmission windows, one undrilled and one drilled must be ordered separately. An optional o-ring seal model of the demountable cell replaces the flat sealing gasket with two small o-rings to seal around the drilled window filling holes. This modified needle plate
version is recommended for users with highly volatile, low surface tension samples and low-pressure flow experiments.
